Leo Season

 Hey all!

Welcome to Leo Season! This is a time for being authentic, brave, bold, YOU! We are here celebrating the sun and all that its flames have to offer. This is a time to get deep about the life you want to manifest as we hit the hottest flames of the year.

I have a tarot spread for us to help guide us through the next month or so.

Picture a yellow flower background and four squares each containing one of the following questions: 1) How is Leo energy asking me to be more authentic? 2) How can I use this season to work on creating equitable opportunities in my community? 3) How can I luxuriate on myself in this Leo Season? 4) How can I tap into the element of fire and magic of the sun?

I did this spread this morning. I used the Moon BB Magick Tarot by Angela Mary Magick. I pulled an interesting card for the social justice prompt. I pulled the Knight of Blades: Explore Kinks.

A picture of tarot cards in a rectangle with two black tourmaline bordering the length and two clear quartz bordering the sides. The cards read: Queen of Waves (Inner Life), Knight of Blades (Explore Kinks), Two of Caves (Diversity), Ace of Blades (Crystal Vision)

I had to really sit and think about Explore Kinks. I sure as heck am not doing that in my community, haha. I am a Scorpio, but I'm not THAT type of Scorpio. Private life for me, please :) So, what does this mean? Well, sometimes exploring our kinks can put us into new and sometimes uncomfortable situations. For me? This means going out and talking to people (stranger danger, anyone?), talking with people who are experiencing homelessness (I have been attacked by many), and other situations where I feel very uncomfortable, BUT! Staying in our comfort zone is not going to change the world. It just wont.

So, how did I interpret this? I can continue to do water, snack, and hot weather necessity distribution with my partner. I can volunteer to help MCK with Google Mapping for drivers, or maybe convincing my partner to do meal distro with me. I can volunteer with PDX Saints Love in the Streets and do food and water distro with them. On days when I am not feeling my best, or my anxiety is just too high, I can donate money.

Not everyone can take direct physical action. Not everyone can protest. Not everyone can donate monetarily. Maybe you can write to a person in prison because that is what you have the bandwidth for. Maybe it's making cards or letters for the elderly who do not have many visitors. I know that together we can help make this world more bearable for others.

Sending you all the love Leo Season offers!
