Tarot Overload Day 2

 Hello, everyone!

This will be a daily (hopefully) series! If you missed the first post, I am participating in the Tarot Overload Challenge by Thomas over at Hermit's Mirror. Definitely pop over to the blog to grab the prompts and guide to pulling cards. Yesterday's post is here. I had an amazing first day, and today was even better.

Let's Go!

The Prompt

What gift have I been given to what I have to do in this life?

The Pull

I shuffled as I usually do, and Temperance came out. I didn't want to do the arc again like I did yesterday because it wasn't resonating. I remember that HermitsMirror had done something with numbers to get to his next card (the details are here), and I thought about how I wanted to be guided today. I shuffled 3 more times, and I counted down to the 14th card because Temperance is number 14. The Magician came out. I was floored and way too excited.

I have the gift to transmute the old into something new. It is through that inner strength, knowing, and confidence that I will be able to reclaim my inner joy and creativity.

Astrology Associations

As soon as I saw these cards together, astrology, again, popped into my head. Astrology is a fairly new deep dive for me. I am taking chances left and right to explore it more in contexts that I already understand. So far, incorporating it into the energies of tarot has been the most concrete way for me to feel safe in exploring the unknown.

There is a lot going on from an astrology point of view in these cards. One, The Magician is Mercury, which is associated with Gemini, which is the opposite of Sagittarius (Temperance). I know Virgo is also associated with this card, but that's not where I am going right now. These cards, to me, seem to be two sides of the same coin. To manifest, there must be work, patience, and some form of stoicism/contentment.

My Jupiter is in Gemini (and retrograde... is this why I struggle so much with growth and expansion, lol). This is the planet of expansion. My Jupiter is in the 3rd house, which is the house of the mind and intellect. The work, the gift displayed by these two cards starts with a creative mine, a vision of potential, possibility, and transformation.

My Uranus is in Sagittarius, which is all about change, new ideas, and innovation. Honestly, that describes ever Sag I've ever know. Love you, sag-ies (how do I make this not sounds like saggy...)! My Uranus is in the 10th house, which is all about career and public image. I am in the process of completely changing careers. I want so badly to switch into a career that allows far more freedom than my current one. How 10th house Sag of me, haha. I am born to do this. I am both with these transmutative, transformative aspects (Temperance) in me and written in the stars. Finally, my midheaven is in Sagittarius, which makes me a prime candidate for what I want to do which is connect with people, network, and build a strong, yet loving community of people who want to delve more deeply into their spiritual selves.

Summary

I tend to be a creature of habit, especially when it comes to my comfort habits. Tarot is a very regulating activity for me. I like to do it the way I like to do it, and I don't really like to switch it up. Being nudged to try these more guided ways has been very freeing and empowering. I am so glad I am giving this challenge a chance!
