Tarot Overload Day 1

 Hello, everyone!

When I started this Tarot Overload Challenge by Thomas over at Hermit's Mirror, I did not think I would be blogging about it. It is definitely worth hopping over to his blog for the prompts and the guidelines.

The Prompt

What am I here to do in this life?

The Pull:

Part of this challenge is to pull in a random way. I pulled Strength in the way I usually shuffle cards... wait until one flies out. The Queen of Wands came out from the arc above. I closed my eyes, ran my right hand across the arc until I felt a pull. This happened to be a physical pull where my pink grazed the card, and it shot out. It was perfect.

The Meaning:

While I could write just the meaning, I know that Thomas' challenges are meant to be an in-depth writing assignment. So, hold on to your hats. I have taken this time to include some astrology from my natal chart (Thank you, Thomas for the inspo!), and I am glad I did because it took a basic interpretation, and it brought it deeper for me.

I have no planets or placements in Leo, but both of these cards are associated with Leo, or rather fire energy in the case of The Queen. When doing a deeper dive into her associations, she is associated as the water of fire, Pisces and Aries combo, but most commonly, people associate Leo with her. Looking at her regal and beautiful garb, yes, I would agree with Leo.

Leo rules the 5th house. The 5th house is about pleasure and joy. It is a creative and sensual house. I have Cancer in my 5th house. Know where I have Cancer in my chart? Chiron... so, there it is! I know what I am here to do in the context of these cards. I need to help heal that wound within myself.

In this lifetime, I am to find pleasure. I am to find the inner strength to reclaim joy, pleasure, and creativity without the shame or guilt placed on me by sexism, capitalism, or white supremacy (yes, white supremacy affects white people negatively, too).

Affirmations:

I reclaim my inner successful, sovereign artist. I flow with joy and creativity.

Summary:

I can't wait to continue this challenge. I will be posting here. Will you be joining in? At the time of writing this, I am already finished with Day 2, and it was even more amazing. This is going to be a transformative journey, I can tell.

Be well, beauties!
